Chronic headaches are some of the most frequent complaints in a pain clinic relying on a high prevalence in the population.

In Germany acupuncture has entered the treatment guidelines for migraine and tension type headache.

I will present an approach how to integrate acupuncture into a conventional pain clinic , relying on good scientific evidence.

There will be a discussion of the 3 most frequent headache types, tension type headache, migraine, medication overuse headache. There is a high patient demand for acupuncture due to good results and hardly any side effects.

The workshop will show different approaches and techniques of acupuncture treatment of headaches.
