1/ Presentation summary

Introduction :
Symptoms of youth mental suffering grow up for a decade. Cure, prevent and care such mental health pains need multidisciplinary approaches. Can acupuncture be one solution ?

Méthode :
During twenty years of care and cure in a preventive Medecine department at Rouen University, more than 5 hundred students benefited of acupuncture for anxiety, depression and sleep disorder. The authortries to evaluate the profiles of students, indications and main results of acupuncture treatments.

Résultats :
From his experience in an university preventive medicine department for twenty years, the author shows the interest of such proposal and how acupuncture needs to be well evaluated in such indications, because there is a lack of evidences.

Conclusion :
The integration of acupuncture with conventional medicine shows promise in improving treatment outcomes for the mental health and pain-related issues.

2/ Presentation summary

The French Speaking Association for Supportive Care In Cancer (AFSOS) establishes regulary a number of guidelines to help and inform caregivers in the management of many of the side effects related with cancer treatment.

In december 2024 the guideline has been updated. In collaboration with the French College of Acupuncture (CFA), it cites acupuncture as a useful and relevant Non-Pharmacological Intervention inSupportive Care.
