More and more patients are facing infertility and must undergo assisted reproductive technology (ART) to become parents. It is a long and difficult journey, fraught with hope and doubt.

 

Acupuncture can both improve the chances of success and provide emotional support to parents on this long and arduous journey.

 

After a quick review of concepts, definitions, and ART treatment in Western medicine, the author will discuss the channels and organs related to pregnancy and childbirth.

 

Clinical presentations will then be discussed and illustrated with clinical cases so that the author can share her experience and suggest the acupoints she uses.
