Presentation summary
Introduction :
The translation “noon-midnight law” seems to have passed into common usage when we talk aboutZiwuliuzhu. This translation has the disadvantage of implying the existence of a general principle of analogy, ofinducing confusion about the circulation of nourishing energy and of erasing the initial meaning of the proposal, which was to describe methods of sensitization of the meridian system.
Method :
To support our proposal for a method, we comment on certain classical texts concerning the cohesion of the meridian system, the relationship between nutrition and defense, the clinic of surface syndromes, therapeutic harmonization strategies, and the evolution of toning and dispersion methods.
Results:
We propose an original method of harmonization of superficial syndromes that takes into account a noon-midnight dialectic by coupling a Mu point with a Wushuxue point. We begin a reflection on the clinical implications of the entanglement of the concepts of space and time in Chinese medicine.
Conclusion :
We emphasize the importance of taking a critical look at our knowledge and practices in Chinese medicine. To illustrate the noon-midnight balance, we evoke the opposition of the paths taken by Icarus and Ariane to cross the labyrinth of Crete.
