Presentation summary
The authors report the treatment with auricular acupuncture of two patients suffering from progressive scoliosis.
Acupuncture points were determined in connection with the important role of melatonin in the symmetrical growth of the proprioceptive system and spinal muscles.
The placement of semi-permanent needles on the “epiphysis” (pineal gland) and “omega” (mesodermaltissues) points allowed in these two patients a clear reduction in pain, a disappearance of lumbago and thefeeling of to sort out.
Thus, auricular acupuncture effectively improves the orthopedic medical treatment of progressive scoliosis inadults.
