Presentation summary

Introduction :
Inspired by the works of Michel Vinogradoff (“Within the Enclosure”) and Sophie Linghenheld (“Journey to theCenter of the Mother”), I wished to continue the reflection initiated by Jean-Marc Kespi in “The Journey of the Ren Mai.” This text is an attempt to explore the Way through the body, the belly, and the Earth. It is based on two clinical cases illustrating the importance of the rooting reflex and the Conception Vessel in the emergence of connection, digestion, and embodiment.

Method :
With 2 clinical cases, (A baby and my daughter) I successively studied :
The Rooting Reflex and Kangaroo Babies, The Stomach 胃 (wei) in Chinese Medicine, The Link BetweenUterus and Stomach, The Path of the Conception Vessel

Results :
Rooting Reflex, Skin and Po : Embodiment Through Contact, Digestive Disorders in Newborns

Conclusion :
The rooting reflex engages the newborn in an energetic journey from the perineum to the Stomach center, and then to the nipple. This physical and symbolic path initiates separation from the mother while laying the foundation for individuality. It represents access to otherness, essential for existence.
Its progressive disappearance in modern practice may explain the prevalence of early digestive disorders. Stimulating the zhongwan-12CV point, in support of this dynamic, provides a valuable therapeutic avenue.
Just like baby turtles imprint on the beach where they’re born, the human infant should be able to trace its own inner, bodily, and celestial path—to one day return and fulfill its destiny.
I pay tribute to all those who have lost their Way, to all those who have found it again…
To those still searching—searching for themselves within the macrocosm—I invite you to lift your eyes to theSky and look for… the Milky Way! (If you don’t know the legend, go look for it !)
