WORKSHOP

Workshop title
Integrating Osteopathic Manual Muscle Testing, Pulse Diagnosis and Fascial Node Restrictions with Acupuncture Diagnosis and Treatment

Scheduled
Day 2, 11:00

Presentation summary

This course will develop both the theory and practice of an integrated osteopathic and acupuncture approach for the diagnosis and treatment of common musculoskeletal conditions.

This approach can also be applied to visceral and neurological conditions. Attendees will develop and understanding and practical application of osteopathic palpatory techniques and the diagnosis of fascial restrictions to find acupuncture channel and organ dysfunction that may underlie a persistent musculoskeletal pain condition.

A method of applied kinesiology using precise muscle testing as well as pulse diagnosis will also be used to both identify and treat inhibited muscles. We will demonstrate how to correlate these restrictions and muscle dysfunctions to acupuncture meridian and organ dysfunction.

In addition, we will present an acupuncture tensegrity approach to fascial node needling for the treatment of these musculoskeletal conditions.

Hands on practice will be included to develop practical skills with these osteopathic and needling techniques.
